We are taking a trip back to the 1970s to explore one of the most groundbreaking and influential sitcoms in television history. By tackling issues that no other sitcom had before – racism, politics, gender roles, religion and social change – this show cemented itself as not just an ahead-of-its time classic, but as the blueprint so many shows would emulate for the next fifty years and still to this day. 

We focus on the following episodes: Season 2 Episode 21, “Sammy’s Visit;” Season 3 Episode 7, “The Bunkers and the Swingers;” Season 3 Episode 31, “Everybody Tells the Truth;” Season 5 Episode 5, “Lionel the Live In;” and Season 8 Episode 19, “Two’s a Crowd.”

And this week’s bonus Top 10 list is Jonathan’s Top 10 TV Families. Some are based on love, some are based on connections, and some are based just on watchability.
